Sororities at the College of Charleston have been recognized for excellence by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).
The NPC, which is the umbrella organization for national and international sororities on more than 670 U.S and Canadian campuses, recognized 39 College Panhellenic Associations for their on-campus work to advance the sorority experience.
The College of Charleston Panhellenic Association was one of only 27 associations to be recognized for having met requirements in all seven of the following categories:
· Recruitment
· Panhellenic structure
· Communication with NPC area advisor
· Judicial procedures
· Panhellenic programming
· Academics
· Panhellenic community impact and relations
“The NPC Excellence Award is something our community is very proud of, and without the work of the women in the Panhellenic Community, it would not have been possible,” said Casey Domnick, assistant director of Fraternity & Sorority Life. “The CofC Panhellenic community is consistently trying to better all of the women in our 10 sororities in every aspect of their lives, including Academics, Community Relations, Health & Wellness, Risk Management, & Social Awareness to name just a few.”
