Award-winning singer-songwriter and sustainability activist Dana Lyons — known for the humorous song “Cows With Guns” — will perform at the College of Charleston’s Foodstock music and food festival.
The three-hour festival features food and music and is hosted by the Office of Sustainability and will be held in the Stern Center Garden from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 27. Lyons, who performed at the College in 2014, is the headliner, with additional sets by Whitehall and Camel Blues Band.

In addition, College of Charleston Dining Services will lead a series of pop-up kitchen workshops featuring local produce from the Coastal Conservation League’s GrowFood Carolina, South Carolina’s first local food hub. There will also be workshops and informational booths from organizations across campus.
The event is free and open to the public. Donations to Earth Heart Growers, a local nonprofit organization that works with middle and high school students on school gardens and nutrition, will be accepted.
