The Charleston Defense Contractors Association is now accepting submissions for its seventh annual Student Mobile App Competition.
The competition is open to middle school, high school, and full-time college students. The Charleston Defense Contractors Association challenges students to create a mobile app that solves a problem, is easy to use, and offers an enjoyable user experience.
Competition winners will be announced on Dec. 6, 2017, during the Charleston Defense Contractors Association Defense Summit. The annual conference will be held in Charleston from Dec. 5-8, 2017. More than 1,500 industry leaders in technology, defense and healthcare will attend.
Past winners have received scholarships and job offers from participating organizations. Competitors could also win up to $10,000 in prizes and scholarships. College of Charleston students are encouraged to apply for this educational and career-expanding opportunity.
The deadline for filing a letter of intent in the competition is Oct. 27, 2017. Online submissions may be submitted on the CDCA website. The deadline for submitting the app and supporting materials is 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2017.
