For students getting settled on campus for the first time, everything is new and unfamiliar. But, with a warm tradition like #CougarWelcome, it won’t be long before they’ll be feeling right at home.
Every year, the College of Charleston community jumps on the welcome wagon for 36 hours to show off its Cougar Pride and Southern hospitality and to welcome students to the CofC family.
Starting at 12 p.m. August 22 and ending at 11:59 p.m. August 23, CofC alumni, friends and family from all over the world will come together for a warm #CougarWelcome. Wherever they are, they will put on their favorite CofC gear, donate a housewarming gift to the CofC Fund and/or Parents’ Fund and then share the #CougarWelcome love on social media.
Check out the #CougarWelcome giving page and download cover photos and profile pics from the social media toolkit.
By offering matching gifts, creating challenges, posting photos, tagging friends and encouraging other Cougars to join in the fun, the College of Charleston family is showing its love for the College and welcoming the Class of 2021 to campus.
Because, after all, once you’re a Cougar, the College of Charleston campus will always be home.
