There’s nothing quite like the anticipation of starting a new journey. Every year, the College of Charleston’s Office of New Student Programs starts more than 2,000 incoming freshmen and transfer students on a new academic path during summer orientation.
At each orientation session, new students meet with orientation interns, attend informational seminars about campus programs and facilities and meet with faculty representatives regarding potential academic majors. New students also meet with an adviser and register for classes.
The 10th and final orientation session (which serves new first-year students who live more than 700 miles away) is scheduled for Aug. 15 and Aug. 16, 2019, which means it’s almost time for our newest students to begin their first official steps as Cougars.
It’s an exciting time as we welcome the Class of 2023!
