The College of Charleston will host a discussion titled “Investing in Our Future: Infrastructure, National Security and Fiscal Responsibility” during an event on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020.
The discussion will feature South Carolina Congressman Joe Cunningham, joined by College of Charleston faculty and students and representatives from the Progressive Policy Institute.The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Auditorium, located on the first floor of the Beatty Center at 5 Liberty St.
Cunningham will serve on a panel with Maren Trochmann, assistant professor of political science at the College of Charleston, and Ben Ritz, director of the Progressive Policy Institute’s Center for Funding America’s Future. Moderating this discussion will be Gibbs Knotts, interim dean of the College of Charleston School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Jeremy Turner, president of the College’s student organization the South Carolina Politics Club.
