Citizens of the World
The College has been ranked No. 14 among medium-sized schools on the Peace Corpsโ list of top volunteer-producing colleges and universities in 2020. CofC is the only school in South Carolina to make the list. Before the pandemic, CofC had 21 alumni volunteering in countries around the world. This is the fourth consecutive year that the College of Charleston has ranked among the Top 20 medium schools on the list โ but the College has an even longer history of producing Peace Corps volunteers: More than 290 alumni have served since the organization was founded in 1961.
