Watching a natural disaster unfold 7,000 miles from home has been a heavy burden for Japanese exchange students Misato Matsushita and Megumi Itsubaki at the College of Charleston.
“I can’t stop watching it on TV and the internet,” says Matsushita.
Both 20-year-olds are from the Southern region of Osaka, Japan about 10 hours by car away from the worst hit earthquake and tsunami zones.
