Columbia, SC — We’ve known for quite a while that a vocal group of S.C. conservatives don’t like Lindsey Graham. Among his many flaws, Graham published columns with John Kerry on the dangers of climate change. He called the GOP the party of “angry white people.” He also voted for the 2008 bailout and helped confirm two liberal Supreme Court justices. After 20 years in Washington, critics charge that Graham has morphed into a “career politician” and become “out of touch” with S.C. conservatives. All this begs the question: How did Lindsey Graham win his primary election?
