The College was one of just two teams, along with Miami, to have two players selected for the first team.

The award adds to Ober’s trophy case in the 2014 offseason. He has already been named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger and earned the NCBWA Freshman Pitcher of the Year award, among other honors.

A freshman from Huntersville, N.C., Ober is currently competing with the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team as an alternate through July 5.

The award is the first national honor for Pappas in his debut season.

Coming to the College from Irmo, S.C., Pappas made a big late-season impact as Charleston’s first baseman. In eight postseason games, he hit two home runs and three doubles while driving in six RBIs.

The College was the only school from the Colonial Athletic Association represented on the list.
