With recent strong finishes in the women's and team races, the College's co-ed sailing team prepares to defend its national title beginning June 3 at St Mary’s College of Maryland.
The team defeated Long Beach State 6-3 and will play Monday afternoon for a shot at the Regional Title. The game is available on ESPN3.com or ESPN 910 AM radio in Charleston.

The College's sailing program is vying for mutiple national championships in Maryland.
The Cougars (41-17) are the No. 4 seed in the regional and will be joined by host Florida (40-21), second-seeded Long Beach State (32-24) and third-seeded North Carolina (34-25).
This is the fourth Colonial Athletic Association championship for the College of Charleston in its inaugural year. It is the Cougars' sixth appearance in the NCAA Baseball Championship.
