๐Ÿ”˜ โ€œI use journals and write everything down by hand to keep track of my responsibilities,โ€ - @cofchonors student Brandon.  ๐Ÿ”˜ โ€œTake it upon yourself to reach out to professors about anything youโ€™re struggling with or issues youโ€™re having โ€“ email, go to office hours, whatever you need to do,โ€ - Dylan, freshman majoring in international studies.  ๐Ÿ”˜ โ€œManage your time carefully,โ€ - Hunter, a senior double-majoring in  @cofcbiology and Spanish.  ๐Ÿ”˜ โ€œGo to a neutral location for Zoom classes, like the library, where there are less distractions,โ€ says Misha, a @sotacofc senior double-majoring in piano performance and arts management.  โžก๏ธ Tips from faculty:
๐Ÿ”˜ Be organized. โ€œSpread the work out throughout the week,โ€ says Devon Hanahan, senior instructor of Hispanic studies.  ๐Ÿ”˜ โ€œMake use of all the technology available,โ€ says Kameelah Martin, director of African American studies.  ๐Ÿ”˜ Communication with professors is really important. โ€œNever send me an email to say, โ€˜Iโ€™m sorry for contacting you.โ€™ Iโ€™m delighted to be contacted by a student,โ€ says teacher education professor Margaret Hagood.  ๐Ÿ”˜ Be active learners. โ€œA really important part of the puzzle is for students to spend time focusing on their own engagement and what their role is in becoming an active learner in the class,โ€ says Beth Goodier, associate professor of @cofccomm.
