ExCELAwards

The ExCEL Awards bring smiles to honorees and attendees alike.

It’s that time of year again – ExCEL Awards time. This is when the College of Charleston community acknowledges “excellence in collegiate education and leadership,” which is what the ExCEL acronym represents.

Each year, select individuals and groups at the College are honored for promoting excellence and diversity. The honorees are nominated by their peers in a broad array of categories that include academic achievement, teaching, student leadership, athleticism, as well as professional, social and cultural leadership and more. Faculty, staff and students are eligible for these awards.

This year, the ExCEL Awards will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 4 p.m. in Sottile Theatre, but the nominations close this month (Friday, Feb. 26). If you haven’t taken the time to nominate a deserving individual or group, now is the time. Just visit the ExCel website and fill out the appropriate form. Then, you can relax and look forward to enjoying the awards ceremony, which will be followed by a reception in Alumni Hall.
