Mid-March is a heady time at the College of Charleston. Not only is it when 10,000-plus undergraduates return from spring break, but it’s also when over 1,000 prospective students and their parents arrive on campus for Accepted Student Weekend (March 18-19, 2016).
Now in its eighth year, Accepted Student Weekend (ASW) brings nearly 3,000 individuals to Charleston for a closer look at life at the College. The attendees come from all across the U.S. to get a stronger sense of what the College has in store.
Not only do these prospective students get to know campus through organized tours, they also have the opportunity to attend mini lectures by faculty as a means of better understanding the academic experiences that await them. They’ll also be able to attend a reception to learn about the Honors College, take residence hall tours, and attend a street fair to get a sense of the 200-plus student clubs and organizations that are active on campus.
In addition, these students and their families will have a chance to explore the city of Charleston. But perhaps what’s most important for them is that they’ll get an unfiltered view of life at the College while interacting with current students.
