Getting an advanced degree – or a graduate certificate – can make an important difference in the workplace. It can mean a significant bump in salary or even a promotion. That’s one of the reasons why the College of Charleston’s Graduate School of the University of Charleston, S.C. is offering free applications for a limited time.

From now until Jan. 31, 2020, anyone interested in applying for one of the graduate school’s more than 30 academic programs (21 masters programs and nine certificate programs) can do so without paying the usual application fee.

“The quality of life in our region depends on having highly qualified teachers, individuals who can creatively solve environmental problems along with individuals who can plan and manage sustainable communities,” says Godfrey Gibbison, interim dean of the graduate school. “The University of Charleston, South Carolina offers graduate programs that prepare students to elevate the region in each of these areas, as well as others. Consequently, we’re waiving the application fee for the next two months to remove at least one barrier to graduate school enrollment. Ultimately, it’s part of our initiative to enhance and advance the creation of talent in this region.”

Applications can be submitted online through the graduate school’s application portal. Enter the code GSOBFW2020 and the normal $50 fee will be waived.
