The Office of Business and Auxiliary Services continues to support the College of Charleston’s educational and service mission during this period of e-learning. Below is what you need to know about what services are available during this time.
Please note that the College is considering refunds for housing fees, meal plans and parking fees. A plan will be communicated to students and their families in the near future. At this time, the College, like most state universities, is awaiting guidance from federal and state government agencies.
For more information on available campus services visit the College of Charleston’s emergency page. For general inquiries, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Campus Housing is assisting students during early move-out for remote learning, as well as serving those students who received an exception to remain in campus housing due to extenuating circumstances. Fall 2020 housing contracts and assignments for first-year students and room selection for returning students – as well as access control for the residence halls and houses – continues.
Beginning Tuesday, March 24, until further notice, City Bistro will be serving to-go meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner from the pick-up window located on the patio near the Lightsey Center.
- Breakfast: 7:30–9:30 a.m.
- Lunch: 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Dinner: 5–7 p.m.
All students, with or without a meal plan, are welcome to get meals. Current meal plan holders will swipe their Cougar Cards as usual. For those students who do not currently have a meal plan, we ask that each student present their Cougar Card to confirm student status when ordering their meal.

The bookstore is currently closed. Books and other course materials are available for purchase online via the College of Charleston Barnes & Noble website with free ground shipping on all orders. Free eTextbook access is available to students through the remainder of the spring 2020 semester via VitalSource. Rented textbooks can be returned using a free shipping label. Students will be sent email reminders starting April 19 with return rental information and a link to the prepaid label. More detailed information can be found on the College of Charleston Barnes & Noble website. Students will be able to sell back their textbooks once the College of Charleston resumes in-person classes. Barnes & Noble is developing additional plans for remote textbook buybacks and will provide updates once those are finalized.
The service window is closed. Inbound mail and packages for individuals will be available for pickup only from the locker banks located in the Mail Services lobby. If you received an “expiry email notification,” your item is still located in that locker bank with the same PIN.
The copier in the Mail Services lobby is still available for copying and printing. You will need your Cougar Card using pre-loaded Cougar Cash ($0.10/page) and a flash drive with your files if you are printing.
Students may have their mail forwarded by completing complete the following survey: https://cofc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9TwEG3YZnoJBszj.
