Associate Professor of biology Elizabethย Meyer-Bernstein has been named the interim dean of the College of Charleston Honors College. Currently serving as the Honors College’s associate dean, Meyer-Bernstein will assume her new role on July 1, 2020.
“I am very pleased that Beth has agreed to serve in this important position at the College of Charleston,” said Frances Welch, interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, in an email to faculty and staff.
Meyer-Bernstein joined the College of Charleston Department of Biology in 2002 and also serves as the director of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities. She will succeed Honors College Dean Trisha Folds-Bennett.
“Trisha has done amazing work in transitioning our Honors College to the success we enjoy today,” said Welch. “I am confident that Beth will continue the positive progress being made in our Honors College.”
