The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) is now offering one-hour video benefit consultations to members of the S.C. Retirement Systems and State Health Plan.
Connecting members with a benefits counselor via a secure video chat, video consultations are tailored to meet the needs of the individual member and are good for those with questions related to PEBA-administered benefits that have not been resolved over the phone or through email.
Video consultations may be scheduled up to two weeks in advance, but no later than two business days before the appointment date. To schedule a video consultation, email email@example.com and include the following information in the email:
- Phone number
- What you’d like to accomplish during your appointment
Upon receiving your email, a benefits counselor will contact you to schedule an appointment. You will then receive a confirmation email with more details about your appointment.
PEBA encourages members to submit transactions and documentation through its online portals, MyBenefits and Member Access. The portals give members access to their insurance and retirement accounts, allow them to view and update their personal information and conduct online transactions.
