Sure, Freddie Lipata designed the Campus Recreation Services Finals Fun Park with students in mind. With a batting cage, disco ping-pong, simulator golf and a putt-putt course featuring a windmill, the fun park was built as part of the College’s Cougar Countdown to help students de-stress and have a little fun during the final days of the semester.

But then, he thought: Why should students have all the fun?

“Isn’t it safe to assume that it is not just students who are stressed during exam week – and pretty much this whole semester?” points out Lipata, assistant director of Campus Recreation Services. “We are well aware that we, as administrators, were not spared from the hardships fall 2020 brought, and we wanted to open up some of the activities we put together for students to the greater CofC family.”

And so, the Finals Fun Park – located at the Johnson Center and Silcox Gym (30 George St. and 24 George St.) – is open to faculty and staff on weekdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., now through roll call on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.

So, go ahead, have a little fun – after a year like this, you deserve it!
