On Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, the College of Charleston will hold its second annual CofC Day. Like last year, the event will run from midnight to 11:59 p.m. This year, however, because of the pandemic, CofC Day will bring alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and community members together virtually for a day of giving in support of the College.
To drive pride, excitement and energy around the day, a variety of fun events will be held online at noon and 7 p.m. CofC President Andrew T. Hsu will kick off the activities at noon, where he will speak about the College’s strategic plan. Also be on the lookout for a cooking show with men’s basketball Coach Earl Grant!

At 7 p.m., together with the CofC cheerleaders and dance teams, President Hsu will introduce the evening’s events and then pass the baton over to alumni anchors. The hosts will provide updates and introduce activities, including the Alumni Awards, which will begin at 7:30 p.m.
“CofC Day brings our community together and presents enormous opportunities for the College,” says Chris Tobin, executive vice president of institutional advancement at the College of Charleston. “I’m excited about what we are doing to celebrate the College on CofC Day and look forward to seeing how our students, faculty, staff and friends support and engage with the College.”
The College’s 24-hour day of engagement and giving has something for everyone. Donations will be used to fund everything from scholarships to creating a Student Success Center to specific school initiatives. On Jan. 28, visit the CofC Day website to see where your passion for the College leads you.
