The Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) universal review reporting period at the College of Charleston for the period of Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020, is now underway.
Performance evaluations for the yearly review period must be completed in PeopleAdmin (ending with the employee acknowledgement step) by Friday, March 12, 2021. No exceptions will be made to the deadline. A “successful by default” rating will automatically be assigned to any employee whose evaluation is not completed through PeopleAdmin by March 12, 2021.
All classified staff employees as well as all unclassified, non-faculty employees are to be reviewed annually on this schedule. Faculty are not included in this EMPS process. Other employees who are not included in the EMPS process include those who have not completed their 12-month probationary review period and non-probationary employees who have been demoted, promoted, transferred or reclassified within the past year (evaluated at six months).
To begin the employee performance evaluation, supervisors must have completed a supervisor plan and the employee must have acknowledged the plan. For detailed instructions, please see the reference materials on the Office of Human Resources website: http://hr.cofc.edu/supervisor/epmspeopleadmn.php.
The College of Charleston EPMS Policy is available on the Office of Human Resources website: https://policy.cofc.edu/documents/9.1.8.pdf.
