On June 7, 2021, Amy Orr, director of Campus Services at the College of Charleston, sent the following message to faculty and staff regarding updates to the parking permit application process:

Attention faculty and staff:

ย We have made some changes to the parking permit application process for the 2021-2022 academic year. Please find the option below that best suits your situation, and follow the instructions associated with it.

OPTIONS FOR EMPLOYEES WHO CURRENTLY HAVE PERMITS

If you would like to stay in the lot or garage to which you are currently assigned:

You do not need to take any action, and you will not need to apply for a permit for the 2021-2022 academic year. You will automatically be reassigned to your current location. You can expect your assignment letter no later than July 9, 2021.

If you would like to park in a different lot or garage than the one to which you are currently assigned:

You will still be assigned to your current location; however, you may send a wish list request to campusservices@cofc.edu, which we will keep on file in case a space becomes available in your desired location(s). (Please note that the B Lot will be closed beginning August 2021 for the SOTA renovation and, since we have had to find alternative spaces for those permit holders, it is unlikely that many surface lot spaces will open up for the 2021-2022 academic year.)

OPTIONS FOR EMPLOYEES WHO DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE PERMITSย

If you would like a regular permit for one of our surface lots or garages:

Click here to access the application. Email the completed application to campusservices@cofc.edu. We are unlikely to have any surface lot availability, so be sure to include at least one of the parking garages (AG, PG or WG) among your four choices. Employees whose applications are received on or before June 7 can purchase their permits online in advance of the 2021-2022 academic year and can have their permits sent via USPS to their home addresses. Employees whose applications are received on or after August 7 can pick up their permits at Campus Services HQ (162 Calhoun St.) prior to the first day of classes.

If you will not be on campus all five days of the work week and would like a part-time permit for PG:

Click here to access the application for a part-time permit. Email the completed application to campusservices@cofc.edu. Employees who apply prior to August 6 can have their permits sent via USPS to their home addresses. Employees whose applications are received on or after August 7 can pick up their permits at Campus Services HQ (162 Calhoun St.) prior to the first day of classes.

If you have any parking or transportation questions, please contact Campus Services HQ at campusservices@cofc.edu
