College of Charleston President Andrew T. Hsu sent the following message to faculty and staff regarding a virtual town hall on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022:

Dear Faculty & Staff,

While student mental health and wellbeing have long been a concern on college campuses, the pandemic has led to increasing demand for services and enhanced concern for our students. To keep College of Charleston employees informed about this important topic, the College is holding a special virtual town hall for faculty and staff at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Professionals from the Division of Student Affairs will provide an overview of the latest data on our students’ mental health and wellbeing, discuss intervention strategies, and share available campus resources. The presenters will also take questions from the virtual audience.

The event will be recorded and made available for viewing on the Back on the Bricks website. Questions may be submitted in advance to StudentAffairs@cofc.edu.

I hope many of you will be able to join me for this important and timely discussion.

Sincerely,

Andrew
