Help the College of Charleston kick-off the fall 2022 semester by attending SustainFest on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, in room 101 of the Rita Liddy Hollings Science Center from 4:30-7 p.m. Organized by the Center for Sustainable Development(CSD) to emphasize its year of programming around the theme of good health and well-being (one of the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals), SustainFest is free and open to all CofC students.
This year’s event will feature live music, food trucks, free T-shirts and an art exhibit. Students and staff from the CSD will also hand out free samples of ocean-conscious sunscreen and stage a craft-supply swap.
Live music will be provided by Argot and Weigh Station. Both bands’ lead singers are CofC alumni, and Argot’s lead singer was a CSD intern. There will also be a partner fair, in collaboration with the Honors College, where students can meet representatives from campus and local organizations engaged in sustainability work. All giveaways are first-come, first-served.
