College of Charleston President Andrew T. Hsu shared the following message with CofC employees on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, regarding presentations from candidates for the next chief diversity officer and vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion:
Dear Faculty and Staff,
As you may remember, a few months ago, I announced the formation of a search committee to identify the next chief diversity officer and vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion.
The search committee has been very busy this summer, and they have advanced a slate of candidates to make public presentations to campus on the topic: โWhat is your vision for institutional diversity at the College of Charleston?โ โ to be followed immediately by a short, 10-minute question-and-answer period.
These sessions will be conducted on Zoom (links below), will be recorded and then made available to faculty and staff, with a link to a briefย survey for feedback (which will open Monday, September 12, and will close at 5 p.m., Friday, September 16).
Here is the schedule of presenters (with the corresponding Zoom link):
- 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 12:ย Anthony Greeneย โย https://cofc.zoom.us/j/94527972914
- 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 12:ย Courtney Howardย โย https://cofc.zoom.us/j/92765597878
- 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 13:ย Charissa Owensย โย https://cofc.zoom.us/j/98942260204
I encourage you to tune in to these sessions so that you may hear your talented colleaguesโ ideas about our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and their particular visions around them.
