The Staff Advisory Committee to the President (SAC) will host a Veterans Day staff drop-in on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. The drop-in will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the School of Education Alumni Center (86 Wentworth St.) and on Microsoft Teams for virtual attendees.
With raffle prizes and light refreshments from Aramark, the drop-in is an opportunity for staff to honor the service of the College’s staff veterans and to get to know their colleagues from across campus a little better.
In addition, SAC will be collecting canned food for a to-be-determined organization, and staff are invited to bring donations to the drop-in. Staff members will receive one raffle ticket per food item they bring.
SAC represents employees across all units of the College, including approximately 1,000 full- and part-time exempt and non-exempt staff members. The purpose of SAC is to advise the president about staff opinions concerning matters of importance to the staff and institution, to receive the president’s requests for advice and counsel regarding matters relevant to the staff, to increase awareness of the staff’s contributions to the College, to promote the recognition of outstanding staff and to advocate for ongoing initiatives supporting employee success and wellbeing.
