The following message regarding COVID-19 testing, clinics and protocols was shared with College of Charleston faculty and staff on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021:
Dear Faculty and Staff:
Thank you all forย your support throughout the fall semester. We are nearing the end of the termย with greatย resultsย andย would like to share theย below updates.
- Our vaccine and booster clinicsย last week had an amazing turnout. So much so that we are working with our partners toย possiblyย hold another clinicย on campus. We will let you know ifย that is possible.
- We continue to have COVID-19 rapid test kits available at the Office of Human Resources.ย You must present yourย Cougarย Card,ย andย one kit will be providedย per personย while supplies last.
- We continue toย offerย freeย weeklyย COVID-19 testing on campusย and have added additional testing daysย forย the weeksย before and after Thanksgiving. Details,ย including how to pre-register,ย can be found onย Back on the Bricksย along withย off-campusย locationsย for testing.
- For the reminder of the fall semesterย and as we start the spring semester, we will continue to require face coverings in our classrooms andย inside all campusย facilities.ย The only exception being some exercise facilities, namely Johnson Gym, Silcox Gym and the George Street Fitness Center.
We will continue to monitor the health and wellbeing of our campus community and follow the recommendations of state and public health agencies and best practices at other institutions of higher education.
