Open Enrollment Allows State ORP Participants to Change Providers Through March 1

The annual open enrollment period for all participants of the State Optional Retirement Program (State ORP) is from Jan. 1, 2023, to March 1, 2023. During this time, State ORP participants may change their service provider or, if eligible, may irrevocably elect to participate in the South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS). Changes made during the annual open enrollment period become effective on April 1, 2023.

During open enrollment, members may change to one of the four service providers:

• Corebridge Financial (formerly AIG Retirement Services)
• Empower Retirement
• TIAA
• Voya Financial

If members wish to change service providers, they may log into their Member Access account.
