The Office of University Communications is pleased to announce the launch of a new monthly e-newsletter for employees of the College of Charleston. The first edition of the Faculty & Staff E-newsletter debuted on Aug. 30, 2021.
All employees received the first edition of the Faculty & Staff E-newsletter in their CofC email on Aug. 30, 2021. An initiative tied to the Employee Experience and Success pillar of the College’s new Strategic Plan, the Faculty & Staff E-newsletter includes news and stories on a wide variety of topics, including:
- Employee programs, benefits and training offered by Human Resources
- Faculty and staff achievements
- Strategic Plan, budget and administrative updates
- Academic initiatives
- Facilities and technology projects
- Introduction of new faculty and staff
- Employee profiles in “CofC Faces to Know”
Many employees are already familiar with the externally focused stories and news releases that have been published for many years on the College’s official news website, The College Today and delivered in digest form via CofC email each Wednesday afternoon. While the University Communications news team will continue producing content that celebrates the College’s successes to a broader audience, the Faculty & Staff E-newsletter will focus on internal news and happenings at CofC.
New editions of the Faculty & Staff E-newsletter will arrive in employees’ inboxes at the end of every month, excluding campus holidays. In addition, all of the content in the e-newsletter will be published and archived in the Faculty & Staff News section of The College Today, where employees can access it at any time through links provided in the e-newsletter or by visiting the website directly.
