Wanting to honor his parents contributions to the education of Black students during the civil rights era, Ronald and Cynthia Thompson created the Constance Morrison Thompson and Robert F. Morrison Family Legacy Scholarship in support of Black students at CofC.
Thanks to generous donors, the new 1967 Legacy Program, which supports the academic and professional success of Black students, is able to offer robust scholarship support and extra curricular activities in its first year.
The inaugural class of scholars for the new 1967 Legacy Program, which aims to improve the recruitment, retention and graduation of Black students through scholarships, enhanced education support and professional preparation, will arrive on campus this fall.
